I have been to TDS three times, but the first time, last year, Stephen Colbert was hosting because Jon was at the Grammys. But the two times after that were stellar. One of the audience members (who was sort of strange and scary, but oddly a VIP) told Jon that he needed a note for his boss because he had to leave work early. Jon was so cool, he actually wrote him a note! I turned to my friend and asked why hadn't I thought of that! When Jon asked what the guy's name was, the guy said, "John, with an H." Jon just looked at him and said, "Pussy."

I interacted with Jon the first time via my friend who boldly asked for a Daily Show mug (again, why didn't I think of that?) and he had this story like, "Wait, we have mugs. Don't we only have the two?" And someone on the crew said they have a few. Jon corrected himself and said that they were pretty difficult to come by because he made them himself and his kiln was broken. I kept trying to chime in while my friend was trying to get the mug. During one of the commercial breaks one of the stagehands secretly handed my friend a mug. I hated her for that.
